<\/p>\nSusanna Reid has sent all her love to her Good Morning Britain co-star Kate Garraway, whose husband Derek Draper is seriously ill. <\/p>\n
Former political adviser Derek spent more than a year in hospital after catching the coronavirus in 2020 and now needs round the clock care. He has suffered several health setbacks after his battle with Covid and is now said to be fighting for his life after reportedly suffering a heart attack. <\/p>\n
As she hosted the ITV show on Monday (December 18), presenter Charlotte Hawkins told viewers: \u201cYou may have seen in the news over the weekend that Derek, Kate's husband, is sadly in a very serious condition at the moment."<\/p>\n

Kate \u2013 who is mum to daughter Darcey, 17, and son Billy, 14, with Derek – has been inundated with support from fans amid her hubby\u2019s latest health scare. Fellow presenter Susanna was among those to send her good wishes, writing on X: \u201cSending all my love and strength to @kategarraway and Derek. Two of the strongest people I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the weekend The Sun reported that Derek had been taken ill last week. \u201cEveryone is praying for a miracle,\u201d a source said. <\/p>\n
\u201cDerek suffered a massive heart attack earlier this week which has left him fighting for his life all over again. It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kate, who has been married to Derek since 2005, was said to be beside her husband\u2019s side 24 hours a day. The TV star has documented Derek\u2019s health struggles in two documentaries and has also written two books about his fight.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year she opened up on This Morning about her life with her husband, explaining that \u201cone of the pressures\u201d was that \u201cyou can never be quite sure that anything is going to work so therefore you are in a constant state of adrenaline\u201d. <\/p>\n

She said on the ITV programme: "Every infection, every medication that is prescribed, is it the right one at the chemist, no it's not, so I\u2019ve got to check it and so consequently you are just sort of holding\u2026 well you feel like you are holding a life in your hands and I\u2019m just not sure I\u2019m good enough for that really."<\/p>\n
